Inmate texting apps are the best method to stay in contact with a family member or friend who is currently imprisoned. These apps are specially designed to meet prison regulations and permit family members and friends to send and receive messages images, photos, eCards video calls, and money into their prison trust account. There are also federal inmate applications that provide additional services, such text inmate as video visits and phone calls.
The JPay application, for example allows family and friends to pay money into the trust account of an inmate along with images, emails, eCards and video grams. It also lets users create personalized postcards using their own photos. It's a safer and more secure alternative to regular mail.
Another popular inmate text application is GettingOut that provides "simple and reliable communication" between inmates and their loved family members. The app, which is available in certain correctional facilities, allows inmates to upload pictures and send messages to their families and friends via their tablets. Inmates pay $0.25 per message, and their loved ones pay the costs for accessing the data (but not explicit photos). You can also make use of the GettingOut application to share pictures on Facebook or Foursquare and check in on Foursquare and then add a video to the YouTube upload.
